Spatial data management for network records

Keep routes, assets and topology on a central GIS server, with site-level context and survey-generated KML/KMZ outputs.

Keep the spatial record useful across stages

The central GIS server holds routes, assets and topology. Active and passive inventory adds the physical network and equipment context. Site records provide a place to organize assets and capacity.

Capture, use and share the record

Survey capture feeds mapping without separate re-entry. Measurement sheets and KML/KMZ files are generated from field data. Execution, installation and operational workflows use the location context in their own records.

Data readiness matters

Existing datasets may differ in identifiers, coordinate systems, geometry and completeness. Establish supported imports, cleanup responsibilities and migration deliverables before treating a dataset as ready to operate.

Questions for data scoping

Discuss the records you already hold, required exports, user access, update ownership and retention. Raster ingestion, satellite imagery, DEMs and LiDAR processing are not established by the supplied network-data description.
